Energy Assessors produce commercial EPCs with a related report which recommends improvements to advise on how the energy efficiency may be improved. EPCs can only be obtained from a suitably qualified Domestic or Commercial Energy Assessor, who have completed relevant training, have passed the assessments and received Accreditation.  

If marketing, obtaining an EPC is the responsibility of the owner of the building, the landlord or seller. They will need to find a qualified Commercial Energy Assessor to survey their property and generate the EPC certificate. The Energy Assessor surveys the building fabric and services and takes notes which are then used to give an energy efficiency rating. Certain aspects of the buildings surroundings can affect the rating, such as the location.
